Group Activities in 2006

  • Kick-Off Meeting: 19th June
    Objective: Definition of the aim, objectives, scope and structure of the WG.

  • 1st Meeting of the WG: 14th December
    Objective: Definition of common strategy and priorities to accomplish the specific objectives of the WG.

 

Group Activities in 2007

  • 2d Meeting: Brussels 24 april
    Objective: Prioritization of future activities for the WG for food, 2007 road map and common strategy in the 7FP.

  • EARTO Food first Prospective exercise on convergent technologies: ‘Materials science and nanomaterials for food applications’.
    Previous steps:
    Search for already done prospective studies.
    Identify food industry needs for technological solutions (challenges) and consumer’s needs.
    Contact and interview experts in materials sciences and nano materials.
    First expert consultation. Nanogune, 30th october 2007.

 

Group Activities in 2008

  • Workshop on ‘Nanomaterials and materials science for food applications’: 30th january Brussels
    Objective: The workshop is a part of a prospective exercise on convergent technologies which main objective is to identify technological solutions coming from other fields of knowledge for food industry specific technological needs and challenges and for satisfying the new consumers’ needs and expectations.
